If, like me, you remember the swinging 60s, you will recall long hot summers; that first kiss; falling in love for the first time, maybe. And you will remember Rock & Roll, the phenomenon that changed the attitude of young people throughout the world.
You might remember a 60′s pop group named The Applejacks, whose top ten single ‘Tell Me When’ rocketed into the charts and who practised in St Mary’s Church, which figures a lot in Splinters the novel. In December 2010 The Applejacks reformed for a one-off reunion concert – as a big fan, I took the initiative to hire a film maker to video the reunion concert; and you can now buy a very special DVD of The Applejacks reunion concert, here on my website.
The Applejacks had been asked to reform several times over the years, but refused until the need to raise funds for a new roof for St Mary’s came about. They duly performed at a one-off reunion concert in December 2010.
People from places as far apart as Cornwall and Scotland came; one chap, who heard Brian Mathew give the gig its only plug on Radio 2, stopped what he was doing and travelled to Birmingham, as did a lady in Switzerland. The place was packed out, and it was three days before I could walk properly again! having danced too much. Tony Sheppard

I am a big fan, play their music all the time, and DVD of them in the 60s. I am new at computers and internet so only found out about the concert 2 wks after they had done it. I was gutted that i had missed it, i would have been there. I Love the DVD, Christine Davis, February 18, 2011
Wonderful DVD, brings back so many memories of my younger days when i used to travel everywhere to see the group whom i knew so well, in particular AL JACKSON who I worked with in Olton as a hairdresser. Dave Painting, May 1, 2011
The concert was a blast from the past. The Applejacks rekindled their old magic, it was a memorable evening that appeared to be enjoyed by all who attended, and it was a pleasure to be part of such a nostalgic evening. Alan Horton, February 16, 2011
